Welcome to Nose Roast ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application Nose Roast collects, uses, shares, and protects your information.
2. Camera & Facial Data
Nose Roast uses your device's camera strictly for gameplay mechanics — controlling the in-game character using your nose via Google MediaPipe face tracking.
✅ All facial detection processing occurs locally on your device in real-time and is immediately discarded. No biometric data leaves your device.
- We do not record, store, or transmit any images or video
- We do not perform facial recognition or store face prints
- We do not share any camera data with third parties
⚔️ 1v1 Online Duel Matchmaking (WebRTC P2P):
When playing in Online Duel mode, your camera stream and gameplay coordinates are transmitted directly between you and your opponent using secure Peer-to-Peer (WebRTC) technology.
- Direct Stream: Video feeds are strictly direct (P2P) and never routed through or stored on any intermediate server.
- Signaling Security: Our private signaling server (hosted securely on Railway) only brokers the initial handshake connection (matching room codes) and is completely incapable of intercepting or viewing your live stream.
- Zero Recording: Gameplay video feeds are purely real-time and are never recorded, cached, or permanently saved.
3. Local Device Storage
We use your device's local storage solely to save game progress between sessions.
🔒 This data remains on your device permanently and is never transmitted to our servers or third parties.
The only data stored locally is:
- Your in-game high score
- Your selected username (for generating shareable scores locally)
4. Advertising Data
Our app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process certain information to provide personalised ads or for analytics.
⚙️ You may opt out of personalised advertising via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
This may include:
- Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID)
- IP address and usage data
